Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BI Engineer to join our team on a consultancy basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BI technologies and methodologies, with a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive BI solutions that support business objectives. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their BI needs, design effective solutions, and ensure the successful deployment and adoption of BI systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced BI solutions, including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.
- Work directly with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into a cohesive and efficient data model.
- Design and build interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of BI systems to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Provide expert advice on BI best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients to enhance their understanding and utilization of BI tools and data.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of BI projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in BI engineering, with a strong portfolio of successful BI projects.
- Expertise in BI tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, SAP BI, or Oracle BI.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes, and experience with data integration and transformation.
- Familiarity with data warehousing principles and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex data challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a consultancy role, with strong client-facing and project management skills.
